All these throws and armlocks are fine, but really and truly, wouldn't a quick strike to the windpipe be the best option in almost every setting?

The first guy isnt that bad, but a little weird with his esoteric talk. The second guy however is just straight forward the real deal. Thanks for sharing that gem.

As a marine corps veteran, I didn't learn this type of technique. I did learn some knife techniques as well as other stuff. I want an infantryman, so I guess it wasn't that imperative that I learn advanced techniques. This video may be old, but it's still effective, and I approve of this video. Oooorah! 🫡 Thanks for sharing.

Because of my age our government has refused to bring me back in service. With that said😉 I respect the legacy of Dick Marcinko and what he created within the Seal family. As I have communicated before the Red Cell program should have never been cut by the White House. Without government stamp of approval in D.C. Would be honored to work with SOCOM and develop a new counter terrorism strategy as Dick did. Thank you ☺️ for sharing this clip on training your Navy Seal Sniper’s. As a United States 🇺🇸 Marine I am very upset at the choice of discontinuation of our Scout Sniper program. The Mil Dot explanation is perfect 👍. Semper Fi Brothers

i remember watching a fairbairn sykes video and they explained there is no solid defense against a knife attack; you will get cut. therefore your best defense is distance management and good offense. stay out of striking range and then intercept the opponent as they are moving towards you is your best chance of survival

The final fantasy/fantasy rpg battle music trips me out. Crazy how that tone matched the era at the time. The vast majority of these vhs videos, didn't matter what they were about, were like this too. Definitely doesn't match now lol

As someone with just a little martial arts training, a lot of those moves are difficult to pull off in a real confrontation situation. Unless you train a lot. A LOT.

It takes a minimum of five years to learn to feel the adversary's intention to move and direction. The video is spot on, but the intricacy of the concept and skill required is beyond what a short course can convey.
